1. I was commissioned to do a painting of the Sandman character Delirium, a figure I was familiar with having worked on her in my chapter of the Endless Nights anthology by Neil Gaiman.I decided to draw her crouched down like a dog chewing a teddy bear to bits, as I remembered her being disturbed and wacky in that book, and thought that would be a suitable sort of activity for her. Also this was a slightly different set up in terms of working on these pieces- we decided for financial reasons to do the drawing in black and white, have it printed on some board, and then paint over the print thus having 2 pieces to sell, a painting and a drawing. Ka-ching, hopefully. That white lumpy stuff all around the drawing (for which I used no reference) is a kind of primer called Gesso, with which you can have some fun farting about with.
